At Playchap, we take your family's privacy very seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe. We've written it in plain language so it's easy to understand.

What information do we collect?

We only collect what we need to make Playchap work well for you:

• Your name and email address — so you can log in and we know who you are.
• Your child's first name and age band (e.g. "5–7 years") — to help match your child with suitable playdate buddies. We never ask for your child's full name or date of birth.
• Your child's interests (e.g. "football", "drawing") — to improve match suggestions.
• Messages you send — stored securely so your conversations are saved.
• Playdate details you create — dates, times, and locations you enter yourself.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

We are committed to protecting the privacy of children. Playchap is designed for parents, not children. Children do not create accounts on Playchap — only parents do. We do not knowingly collect any personal information directly from children under 13. All child-related information (like name and age) is entered by a parent or guardian on their behalf. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal data without parental consent, please contact us immediately at hello@playchap.xyz and we will delete it promptly.

How do we use your information?

• To help you find other parents with kids of similar ages and interests
• To let you schedule and manage playdates
• To allow parents to message each other safely
• To improve the app and fix issues
• To send you important updates about your account (no spam, ever!)

Do we share your data?

We never sell your personal data to anyone, full stop. We may share limited information with trusted service providers (like cloud hosting) who help us run the app — but they are bound by strict confidentiality agreements. Within the app, other parents can see only your first name, your children's age bands, and interests — never your email, phone, or exact location.

How do we protect your data?

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted storage and secure connections (HTTPS). Our team follows strict data handling procedures. Only authorised Playchap staff can access your data, and only when needed to provide support.

Your rights

You're always in control:

• You can view or update your information in your profile settings at any time.
• You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us.
• You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time.

SMS & Text Messaging

CyberVerve LLC , operator of the Playchap platform, collects mobile phone numbers only from users who explicitly opt in during account registration at playchap.xyz. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent collected by CyberVerve LLC are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Message frequency varies. Typically 2–5 messages per week based on platform activity. Message and data rates may apply. To opt out, reply STOP to any message from CyberVerve LLC (Playchap). Reply HELP for help. SMS Consent & Opt-In Verification

How Playchap Collects SMS Consent. CyberVerve LLC operates the Playchap platform at playchap.xyz.

1. Opt-In Method

During account registration at playchap.xyz, users are shown the following opt-in checkbox which is UNCHECKED by default :

"I agree to receive text message notifications from CyberVerve LLC (Playchap) for playdate invites, reminders, and updates. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe."

Users must actively check this box to consent. Leaving it unchecked completes registration without SMS enrollment. The SMS consent checkbox is unchecked by default and is never pre-selected. Users must actively check this box to receive SMS notifications from CyberVerve LLC (Playchap).

Sign-up form mockup: The registration form collects Full Name, Email Address, Mobile Phone Number (used for playdate notifications only; Msg & data rates may apply), and Password — followed by the unchecked SMS consent checkbox and a "Create Account" button.

2. Message Types

Users who opt in may receive: Playdate invitation notifications; Playdate RSVP confirmations; Playdate reminders (24 hours before); Birthday party invitations; Safety verification status updates; Platform activity notifications. Message frequency varies. Typically 2–5 messages per week based on activity.

3. Opt-Out Instructions

Users can opt out at any time by: Replying STOP to any message from CyberVerve LLC (Playchap), or visiting Profile > Settings > Notifications and toggling off SMS notifications. Upon opting out, users receive one confirmation message and no further SMS will be sent.

4. Data Privacy

Mobile phone numbers collected by CyberVerve LLC (Playchap) are: Never sold to third parties; Never shared with affiliates for marketing; Used exclusively for transactional notifications related to platform activity; Protected under our Privacy Policy. A friendly introduction

Welcome to Playchap ! By using our app, you agree to these terms. Don't worry — they're straightforward and designed to keep everyone safe and happy. If anything is unclear, just reach out to us at hello@playchap.xyz .

Who can use Playchap?

Playchap is for parents and guardians aged 18 and over . By creating an account, you confirm that: you are at least 18 years old; you are a parent or legal guardian of the child(ren) you add to your profile; the information you provide is accurate and up to date. Children do not use Playchap directly — it is a tool for parents to connect with each other on behalf of their kids.

Parent responsibility

You are fully responsible for the safety and wellbeing of your child during any playdate arranged through Playchap. This means: Always meet other parents in person before any unsupervised playdate; Use your own judgment when agreeing to meet new families; Ensure your child's medical information (e.g. allergies) is shared with hosting parents; Supervise younger children at all playdates. Playchap helps you make the connection — but the safety decisions are always yours.

Playdate safety guidelines

We ask all Playchap families to follow these simple safety principles: Be kind, welcoming, and respectful to all families regardless of background; Only share your home address with parents you trust; Never pressure other families into playdates they're uncomfortable with; Always have an emergency contact available during a playdate; Be punctual — other parents' time is valuable!

Acceptable use

Playchap is a friendly, family-focused community. You agree not to: Use the app for anything other than connecting with other parents for playdates; Post offensive, harmful, or inappropriate content; Harass or intimidate other users; Create fake or misleading profiles; Use the app for commercial promotion without our permission.

Account removal

We want Playchap to remain a safe, positive space for all families. We reserve the right to suspend or permanently remove any account that: Violates these terms; Receives repeated reports from other users; Is found to contain false information; Engages in behaviour that could put children at risk. We'll always try to reach out before taking action, unless there's an urgent safety concern.

Our liability

Playchap is a platform that helps parents connect — we don't organise playdates ourselves. We are not liable for anything that happens during a playdate or as a result of a connection made through the app. Please always exercise your own judgment and common sense when meeting new families.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know via the app or by email. Continuing to use Playchap after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Playdate Agreement — 10 Safety Terms

Before every playdate, parents on Playchap agree to these 10 terms:

1. Parental Presence — I agree to remain present and actively supervise my child(ren) for the entire duration of the playdate. I will not leave the premises at any time while the playdate is in progress.
2. No Drop-Offs — I understand that Playchap playdates are not drop-off arrangements. I will not leave my child in the care of another parent or guardian unless I have made a separate private arrangement and both parties have explicitly agreed in writing.
3. Health & Illness — I confirm that my child is in good health on the day of the playdate. I agree not to bring a child who is showing signs of illness, contagious conditions, or has been unwell in the 48 hours prior to the playdate.
4. Allergies & Medical Needs — I have disclosed all known allergies, dietary restrictions, and medical conditions relevant to my child in their profile. I accept responsibility for informing the host parent of any updates prior to the playdate.
5. Respectful Behavior — I agree to ensure my child behaves respectfully toward other children, parents, and property during the playdate. I accept responsibility for my child's conduct throughout the event.
6. Safe Environment — As a host parent, I confirm that my home or chosen venue is safe, child-friendly, and free from hazards. I agree to maintain a safe environment for all attending children.
7. Emergency Readiness — I confirm that my contact information on Playchap is current and accurate. In the event of an emergency involving my child, I agree to be reachable and able to respond immediately.
8. No Unauthorized Photography — I will not photograph or record other people's children during the playdate without explicit verbal consent from their parent or guardian.
9. Platform Communication — I agree to coordinate all playdate arrangements through the Playchap platform to maintain a clear and accountable record of communications.
10. Acknowledgement of Liability — I understand that Playchap is a platform that facilitates connections between parents and is not responsible for incidents that occur during playdates. I accept full parental responsibility for my child's safety and wellbeing throughout any playdate arranged through this platform.
